Robbery in a Jewellery Shop

September: A robbery took place
last night at Nahar Plaza in Mymensingh town at about 4 pm. The robbers took
away at least 100 tolas of gold ornaments and cash worth about 40 lac taka
with them.

Hossain, owner of the shop, said that he found the lock broken and the cash and
showcases ransacked when he opened the shop next morning. He could not confirm
how and exactly when the robbery took place.
Police
visited the shop and found that the robbers broke into Jhalak Jewellery through
the ventilator from a room of the adjoining Bilas Boarding and entered the shop
to take away ornaments and cash.
However,
a case has been filed in this connection with the local police station against
an unidentified number of criminals. Police has arrested two night guards for
interrogation who were on duty at that night. But no clues have yet been found,
sources said.
